The internet is an amazing tool. Yet, it is also pitted with time wasters. How do you know if a position is legitimate? How do you capitalize on these sites appropriately? Providing you with the best job search sites will help you manage your time more effectively and earn faster results.
Of the best job search sites, the first one we are going to start with is indeed. This site is the Google of all job searching websites. It brings Careerbuilder, Monster, various staffing agencies, company career pages and other job boards into one convenient area where you can sift through positions advertised on the web. This site is exceptionally easy to navigate and you will have results in a matter of seconds. There are two fields to complete. The first field is type of position you are interested in. You can be as general or as specific as you like. For example, if you were to conduct a search for Software Engineer positions in San Francisco, almost 5,000 jobs are profiled. This is far too many to review. Yet, if you narrow your search to Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco, just over 1500 positions are now profiled. You can continue to narrow your search by estimated wage on the left hand side. The number of positions by wage range is also provided in parentheses.
This is a great tool for folks outside of the United States as well. There is a list of countries at the bottom of the home page that will allow you to sift through job postings depending on your geographic preference. Not all job search sites allow for this feature. If you are open to relocating, it is easy to navigate and start a target list of potential positions.
This site is continuously updated and all positions posted have the company/recruiter listed and estimated salary earned. I consider this one of the best job search sites because of the aggregated approach they use. I like these features because it removes the guesswork of whether or not the position is factual or simply a scam. Some job boards, especially the ones that do not charge to post a position, can cause you to have doubts about the position. Indeed.com does not have that level of risk attached to it, which makes it more comfortable to rely on.
I hope you enjoyed this information about the best job search sites. Watch for my upcoming article on best job search sites when I feature Simply Hired.
